A Career Shaped by the Apprenticeship Scheme
Apprenticeships Create More than a Career
Apprenticeship GPS was founded by Joshua Pedro, who began his career on IBM’s Junior Management Consultant Apprenticeship and graduated with a Distinction.
That first opportunity became the foundation of a successful career spanning more than 9 years in Technology. It enabled Joshua to build a broad range of business, customer, product and technical skills while taking on increasingly complex roles across public and private-sector organisations.
Over the course of his career, Joshua has as a Junior Business Analyst, Customer Experience Analyst, UX Researcher, Business Analyst, Product Owner and Management Consultant. He later moved into software engineering as a Junior DevOps Engineer. From there, progressing to a Senior DevOps Engineer and then Technical Leadership.
The apprenticeship route gave Joshua more than a qualification. It gave him the opportunity to work with clients, learn from experienced teams, take on responsibility and develop the confidence, communication and commercial awareness to lead projects and teams — much like the managers he looked up to at the beginning of his own journey.

Apprenticeship GPS is built by people who have experienced apprenticeships themselves — including the transition from education into professional work, the pressure of balancing work and study, and the support that makes the difference.
Our team brings first-hand apprenticeship experience and professional insight to the employers and young people we support. We have been through the journey ourselves, completed it successfully, and progressed into careers beyond the apprenticeship. That gives us a practical understanding of what employers need to plan and support, and what apprentices need to grow in confidence, contribute and succeed.
